Check DMARC

Check the effective DMARC policy, SPF/DKIM alignment settings and reporting destinations.

Enter only the domain, such as example.com – without https://, a path or an email address.

A new check is available every 5 minutes per tool and domain. Until then, you see the saved result.

What the tool accesses

DNS.

How the check works

What exactly is checked?

  1. Find the DMARC TXT record at the effective lookup location and check that it is unique.
  2. Evaluate the version, syntax and all explicit or default tags.
  3. Determine the effective policy for the domain and subdomains, including DKIM/SPF alignment settings.
  4. Check aggregate and failure reporting destinations, including external DNS authorization.
Assessment

How is the result determined?

A record is usable only if it is unique and syntactically valid. Notices such as p=none, missing aggregate reports or older tags are shown separately from the conformity verdict.
